Motorlux 2024 Kicking Things Off
It’s that time of year again – Monterey Car Week! Last year was a blast and saw strong results from all the major auction companies in attendance and the week officially started with Motorlux at the Monterey Jet Center and we’re doing it all over again!
The 2024 edition of Motorlux will take place on August 14 but this time there’s a twist – Broad Arrow Auctions will actually be holding the first day of their sale during Motorlux. 65 cars are set to cross the auction block that day with the rest of their consignments set to be offered the afternoon of August 15.
The 1972 Lamborghini Miura P400 SV that we checked out back in June will be among the cars offered for sale that first evening, along with a couple Slantnose 911s – a coupe, a cabriolet, and a targa – as well as a stunning 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster that’s being offered with no reserve.
In addition to the first evening of the 2024 Monterey Jet Center Auction, Motorlux will also feature a display from McLaren featuring the Arturo Spider as well as the global debut of Kindred Motorworks‘ EV Bronco that will go on sale the following day.
Motorlux will once again showcase local wines and notable chefs from the Monterey area who will be on hand to provide a culinary experience befitting the party that starts one of the most important weeks on the collector car calendar.
The next day, August 15 will see Broad Arrow Auctions complete their Monterey Jet Center Auction with exciting offerings including the 1938 Talbot-Lago T150 C Lago Spéciale Teardrop Coupé and the 1957 Maserati 200Si by Fantuzzi, both of which are expected to sell well into the seven-figure range.
Tickets can still be purchased to attend Motorlux on their website, at least until they sell out!
