The RM Sotheby’s Tegernsee 2026 auction delivered a standout performance on July 4, grossing €10.5 million with 91% of all lots sold.
Held at the scenic Gut Kaltenbrunn estate on the shores of Lake Tegernsee in Bavaria, the sale cemented its place as one of Europe’s premier collector car events.
What Is the Tegernsee Auction?
The Tegernsee Auction is RM Sotheby’s boutique live sale held annually in partnership with the Concours of Elegance Germany.
Now in its second year, the event pairs world-class automotive display with serious auction action – drawing international collectors to a lakeside venue roughly 40 minutes south of Munich.
The 2026 edition offered 20 cars and four memorabilia lots.
The headline result was a 2009 Ferrari 599XX Evo, which sold for €2,536,250 – beating its high estimate of €2.5 million.
One of just 45 examples ever built, this Rosso Fuoco example was upgraded to Evoluzione specification in 2012 and maintained exclusively through Ferrari’s XX Program.
With only two private owners from new, it was the perfect Tegernsee consignment: rare, documented, and desirable.
A 2023 Ferrari 812 Competizione crossed the block at €1,467,500, above its €1.25-1.5 million estimate.
One of only 999 built, this example showed just 1,587 km from new – essentially a brand-new, last-of-the-line naturally aspirated Ferrari V12.
A 2004 US-delivered Porsche Carrera GT realized €1,445,000, landing squarely within its €1.2-1.6 million estimate.
Demand for the Carrera GT remains consistently strong across all major auction platforms, and the Tegernsee result was no exception.
