RM Sotheby's Tegernsee 2026
RM Sotheby’s Tegernsee 2026 brings one of the most exciting European collector car sales of the summer to the shores of Lake Tegernsee in Bavaria. The auction takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Gut Kaltenbrunn in Gmund am Tegernsee, Germany, with the gavel falling at 4:00 p.m. CEST.
Held for the second time in partnership with the Concours of Elegance Germany, the Tegernsee auction offers a carefully curated selection of significant automobiles drawn from multiple eras – from a 1960 Porsche 356 to a one-of-six Koenigsegg hypercar.
2015 Koenigsegg One:1 - The Koenigsegg One:1 Auction Event of the Year
The undisputed star of the RM Sotheby’s Tegernsee 2026 sale is a 2015 Koenigsegg One:1, estimated at €8,000,000-€10,000,000 (approximately $9-$11.5 million USD).
Named for its perfect 1:1 power-to-weight ratio, the One:1 produces 1,379 PS (1,360 horsepower) from a twin-turbocharged 5.0-litre V-8, housed in a car weighing just 1,360 kilograms. It was the world’s first production car to deliver a full megawatt of power – earning it the title of the world’s first “Megacar.”
Only six customer examples were ever built. Chassis 7108 – offered here – is believed to be the third customer car, delivered new in Germany in April 2015, and shows just 4,233 kilometers from new. It has been maintained throughout its life by Koenigsegg’s long-standing German representative, Esser Automotive, including a fresh June 2026 service.
This Koenigsegg One:1 auction is especially significant given recent market momentum: a North American example sold privately in late 2025 for a record-setting $12,500,000. With that benchmark in mind, the Tegernsee estimate may prove conservative.
2009 Ferrari 599XX Evo - A Track-Only Ferrari for Sale
The 2009 Ferrari 599XX Evo is the sale’s second major headline, estimated at €2,000,000-€2,500,000. One of approximately the fourth of just 45 examples produced, this is among the earliest cars in Ferrari’s exclusive XX Program – a track-only client series unavailable to the public.
Upgraded to the Evoluzione specification in 2012, the car gained an F1-inspired active aerodynamic package – including a drag-reduction system (DRS) rear wing – pushing the naturally aspirated 6.0L V12 to 750 CV at 9,000 rpm. Maintenance includes a January 2026 service by Autohaus Zanker.
For collectors searching for a Ferrari 599XX for sale, this Rosso Fuoco example represents one of the rarest and most capable track Ferraris ever built – and a genuine long-term collectible.
Porsche Highlights at Tegernsee 2026
The sale spans three iconic generations of Porsche performance:
- 1960 Porsche 356 B Carrera 1600 GS/GT Coupé by Reutter (Est. €470,000-€570,000, No Reserve): One of reportedly only 29 built, this ultra-rare four-cam air-cooled classic is offered with no reserve – making it one of the most intriguing lots of the auction.
- 2004 Porsche Carrera GT (Est. €1,200,000-€1,600,000): A documented factory buyback car, originally delivered to the U.S. and converted for German roads, with 24,121 kilometers shown.
- 1992 Porsche RUF BTR 3.8 (Est. €360,000-€450,000): A rare air-cooled icon from the legendary Pfaffenhausen tuner.
More Collector Car Highlights
Beyond the Porsche and Ferrari lots, the Tegernsee collector car auction offers several additional standouts:
- 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM AMG Cabriolet (Est. €450,000-€550,000): One of just 80 open-top examples, built by HWA AG to commemorate the 2003 DTM championship
- 2023 Ferrari 812 Competizione (Est. €1,250,000-€1,500,000): One of only 999 examples of Ferrari’s last front-engined naturally aspirated V12
- 2009 Ferrari 430 Scuderia Spider 16M (Est. €600,000-€650,000): An open-top special commemorating Scuderia Ferrari’s 2008 F1 Constructors’ Championship
Lakeside Setting: Gut Kaltenbrunn, Lake Tegernsee
The Lake Tegernsee classic car auction is held at Gut Kaltenbrunn, a historic estate on the southern shore of the lake, roughly an hour’s drive south of Munich. The venue serves simultaneously as the host site for the Concours of Elegance Germany, where 200 vehicles are displayed on concours day.
The combination of an elite European concours, world-class auction lots, and Bavarian Alpine scenery makes this one of the most prestigious collector car weekends in Europe.
