Bentley Speed 8 Makes Le Mans Return

Bentley Returns to Le Mans 1st Time Since 2003

Bentley made a return to Le Mans with the 2003 overall winner, the Speed 8, hitting the track for the first time since it took the checkered flag. Part of the centenary parade, the car completed two laps before the start of this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.

It was the same chassis that took the win in 2003 – chassis 004/5 – driven by the same driver who took it over the line that year that hit the track in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Le Mans Classic will be the first time a works Bentley car competes at the track since that overall victory from 2003. Two Blower Continuation Series cars will participate in the Grid I race, one owned by the factory and another being a customer car. It will also be the first time a works-supported Blower will hit the legendary track since 1930.
