Bonhams|Cars Miami 2025 Preview
Bonhams|Cars will follow up their recent Goodwood Members’ Meeting sale and their Spring Stafford motorcycle auction this coming weekend with their Miami 2025 auction on May 3 at the 20205 Miami Grand Prix. The cars on offer will be available for viewing by appointment and a pre-auction reception will be held at The 72 Club before the auction itself is held in front of the podium. We’re taking a look at a few of the 38 cars that will be offered for sale this weekend.
Bonhams|Cars is set to offer this 2009 Brawn BGP001 Formula 1 Single Seater, chassis no. 001/01 and engine no. 081, at their Miami auction. This is one of the most significant modern Grand Prix race cars produced. It’s the first of only three chassis from the Brawn GP team, which emerged from the ashes of Honda and achieved astonishing results in its first and only F1 season. It features a groundbreaking ‘Double Diffuser’ aero package and was driven by Rubens Barichello, achieving 4 podiums and 9 top-ten finishes. The car retains its Mercedes-Benz 2,398cc 90-degree FO108W V8 engine, electronic multipoint fuel injection, and 7-speed semi-automatic gearbox.
Bonhams’ pre-auction estimate for the BGP001 is $4,500,000 – $6,500,000.
This 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R Nismo R1 is a particularly desirable, iconic Japanese supercar, representing the final evolution of the RB26DETT-powered GT-R. This example features numerous tuning parts, including an R-Tune Concept N1 engine with upgrades pushing it to around 450 horsepower. It boasts a 6-speed manual Getrag transmission, ATTESA E-TS PRO AWD, and Super HICAS steering. Finished in Black Pearl, this car has been well-maintained and driven, showing approximately 65,000 km.
It’s being offered with no reserve and has a pre-auction estimate of $250,000 – $350,000.
The 2022 Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 is a modern take on the classic Countach, celebrating its 50th anniversary. Only 112 of these vehicles were produced. This particular example has just 67 miles on the odometer. It’s finished in Bianco Siderale with a Nero Ade leather interior and features a 6,498cc V12 engine paired with a 48V electric motor, producing 803bhp. It also has a 7-speed ISR automatic gearbox, independent suspension on all four wheels, and carbon-ceramic brakes. This particular car was originally delivered to Beverly Hills, CA, and includes the Carbon Package 1, black wheels, and red brake calipers.
These were extremely limited production cars so it’s understandable to see a pre-auction estimate of $1,900,000 – $2,400,000.
This 1996 Porsche 911 ‘Type 993’ Turbo GT2 RGT2 R is a race-spec GT2 R, one of only 43 produced at Weissach. It was originally ordered by a Japanese enthusiast and built to German specifications. The car was primarily used on the street and for occasional track days, remaining exceptionally well preserved. It retains its original 3.6-liter turbocharged engine and has a comprehensive history file. Features include a factory roll cage, quick-lock 100L fuel tank, air jacks, and 18″ center-lock wheels.
The pre-auction estimate on this car is $800,000 – $1,000,000.
The 1970 Plymouth ‘Hemi’ Superbird Coupe, offered from The Orange Collection, is one of approximately 135 cars originally equipped with a 426 cubic-inch Hemi V8 engine. Finished in ‘Hi-Impact Vitamin C’ orange over a white interior, this vehicle has been authenticated by Mopar historian Galen Govier. Following a detailed restoration, it received an AACA Senior National First Prize in 2014. The car retains its original, date-coded, and serial-matching 426 Hemi engine and automatic transmission, and has been restored to its original factory colors and options.
This Superbird is being offered with no reserve and has a pre-auction estimate of $400,000 – $600,000.
