Corvettes at Carlisle Auctions

Carlisle Auctions Corvettes

The Spring Carlisle 2025 Auction runs this week from April 24 through April 25 at the Carlisle Expo Center, starting at 10:00 AM each day. More than 400 consignments are expected to cross the block while the auction is surrounded by the automotive enthusiasts attending Spring Carlisle. Since Carlisle is so well known for its annual Corvettes at Carlisle show, we want to preview three Corvettes that will be offered for sale this week.

This 1960 Chevrolet Corvette will be offered by Carlisle Auctions this week. This Corvette, VIN 002 for the year, is a pilot car believed to have tested GM’s experimental aluminum heads with Rochester fuel injection.

It was built in September 1959 in St. Louis and features a 283 cubic inch V8 engine with lightweight heads that never went into production. The car has a 4-speed manual transmission, finned valve covers, and a 7,000 RPM tachometer.

Following a thorough restoration, the Corvette has driven just 5 miles and is presented in Ermine White with a white soft top and red interior, including options such as a heater, defroster, clock, and radio.

This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette will be offered for sale by Carlisle Auctions. It sports a 327 cubic inch V8 engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in red, complemented by a black interior. It’s a factory radio delete and softtop delete car.

Notably, this Corvette is one of only 246 RPO 687 “Big Brake” Fuelie cars produced in 1962, equipped with a 327/360 HP engine and Rochester Fuel Injection. It is a numbers-matching vehicle and has received several awards, including a 97-point NCRS judged car, an AACA Senior Award, and a Concourse d’Elegance award.

This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window Coupe will be offered by Carlisle Auctions. It’s a very original example of the one-year-only Split Window Corvette Stingray, one of only 10,594 Split Window coupes produced.

The car features its original numbers-matching 327 cubic inch Fuel Injected V8 engine that’s rated at 360 HP, along with its numbers-matching original 4-speed manual transmission. In addition to the drivetrain, major engine accessories have been verified as original.

The exterior is factory Solid Black, complemented by a Saddle Tan interior. The previous owner kept the car for 37 years, and the title history indicates the mileage is original. It has received numerous accolades, including 1st place at Corvettes at Carlisle in 1987 and 1990, NCRS Top Flight Awards in 1990, 1991, and 2024, and Silver Certified by the National Corvette Certification Board.
