Inspired Collections at Broad Arrow Auctions Chattanooga

Broad Arrow Auctions will hold their first Chattanooga Auction on October 12 in partnership with the 2024 Chattanooga Motorcar Festival. Previously the Retro Motors Collection, 25 sports cars many of which will be offered with no reserve were announced as early consignments for the Chattanooga Auction and now more cars and collections have been announced.

Just 30 examples of the Alan Mann Heritage Edition Ford GTs were built in tribute to the lightweight Ford GT race cars of 1966. This particular example shows less than 20 miles since new and is being offered from its original owner. It includes the original window sticker, paperwork, charger, and aluminum production photo.

These were extremely difficult to buy new as they were only offered to approved Ford GT customers. Production of the Ford GT ended in 2023 which makes this quite a tempting opportunity for collectors of modern supercars.

Estimate: $1,200,000 – $1,500,000

Collections at Broad Arrow Chattanooga Auction

In addition to the Alan Mann Heritage Edition Ford GT, Broad Arrow Auctions also revealed two more collections that have been consigned to their Chattanooga Auction. The Small Speed Collection is exactly what it sounds like – small in stature, but with significant racing pedigree. The Stingray Survivor Collection on the other hand is nothing but big-block V8-powered C3 Corvettes, all of which will be offered with no reserve next month in Chattanooga.

The Small Speed Collection

The Small Speed Collection lives up to its name, consisting of six cars that are both small in size yet heavy in racing heritage.

The Lancia Fulvia that will be offered by Broad Arrow Auctions in Chattanooga is powered by a 1.6L examples of the seldom-seen V4 engine that generates 150 horsepower. The 1600 HF was a purpose-built race car equipped with oversized headlights, hence the name “Fanalone.”

This car is one of 1,258 Series I examples built between 1969 and 1970 and is equipped with a period-correct five-speed manual transaxle. It features aluminum body panels and alloy wheels. It sports stickers from many significant rally events such as the Targa Florio Revival and Trofeo Conca d’Oro from the mid-2000s.

Estimate: $100,000 – $120,000

Set to be offered with no reserve from the Small Speed Collection, this 1965 Austin-Healey 3000 Mk III BJ8 is finished in a stunning metallic light blue paint and is equipped with a matching blue vinyl soft top. It’s powered by a 3.0L six-cylinder engine that’s paired with a four-speed manual that helps deliver its 150 horsepower to the road.

The vast majority of Austin-Healy 3000s were exported as left-hand drive cars, primarily to North America. This car is equipped with chrome wire wheels and a black vinyl interior. The car includes a spare wire wheel, mallet, certificate of authenticity, and tonneau cover.

Estimate: $50,000 – $60,000

The Stingray Survivor Collection

The Stingray Survivor Collection is a remarkable assortment of five extremely original and collectible C3-generation Corvettes powered by big-block V8s, all of which will be offered with no reserve.

This two-owner car from the Stingray Survivor Collection is finished in its factory-painted Daytona Yellow with a black interior. It’s equipped with the extremely rare L71 big-block V8 that produces 435 horsepower and is paired with the four-speed M21 close-ratio transmission.

It’s equipped with all sorts of factory options including the side-mounted exhaust, F41 suspension, power windows, alarm system, and optional hardtop with vinyl trim. It’s documented as an unrestored survivor and includes a window sticker, the original Protect-O-Plate, tank sticker, and statements from the original owner. It recently received an NCRS Top Flight Award at the Indiana Chapter’s Big Block Saturday.

Estimate: $90,000 – $110,000

This unrestored survivor Stingray Corvette shows 24,109 original miles and features its original exhaust and Goodyear White Stripe tires. The factory-painted Can-Am White paint has withstood the test of time and contrasts nice with the red interior. It’s equipped with a 427 cubic inch V8, the L36 option that produces 390 horsepower that is delivered to the rear wheels via the M21 four-speed manual transmission.

It includes its original Protect-O-Plate, window sticker, and tank sticker. It also took home an NCRS Top Flight in April 2024 and will be offered with no reserve.

This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe wears its factory-applied Mille Miglia red paint over a black interior and has covered just 12,475 miles it was new. It’s equipped with the factory-correct LS5 454 cubic inch V8 Turbo-Jet engine that produces 365 horsepower and is paired with an M21 close-ratio four-speed manual transmission.
