M Group Collection at Mecum Indy 2026
Dana Mecum’s 39th Original Spring Classic returns to Indianapolis, May 8-16, 2026, at the Indiana State Fairgrounds – and this year’s auction could be one for the record books. At the center of the excitement is The M Group Collection, a stunning 41-car, stunningly curated consignment crossing the block on Saturday, May 16, 2026. From Italian supercars produced in the dozens to ultra-low-mile American muscle, the M Group Collection brings extraordinary variety and serious bidding potential to Mecum Indy 2026.
What Is the M Group Collection at Mecum Indy 2026?
The M Group Collection is one of the most impressive single-owner consignments in recent classic car auction history. The 41-car lineup spans Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Bugatti, Porsche, McLaren, and Ford – covering five decades of automotive excellence.
Nearly every lot in the M Collection is offered at no reserve, making this a rare and genuine opportunity for serious collectors to acquire world-class machinery without a price floor. The M Group crosses the block exclusively on the final day of the event, May 16, guaranteeing attention will be focused solidly on this landmark collection.
2005 Maserati MC12 - One of Only 50 Examples Built
The undisputed crown jewel of the M Group Collection is the 2005 Maserati MC12, one of just 50 road-legal examples ever produced. Built to homologate Maserati’s dominant FIA GT1 racing program, the MC12 shares its platform with the Ferrari Enzo but rides longer, sits wider, and weighs less.
Under the carbon-fiber bodywork sits a naturally aspirated 6.0L V12 producing 630 horsepower, fed through a six-speed Cambiocorsa sequential gearbox and capable of 205 mph. The car presents in the iconic Bianco Fuji pearlescent white with signature blue accents – the same livery that honors Maserati’s Tipo 60/61 Birdcage racing lineage. With only 50 civilian examples ever sold, the MC12 racing program earning six FIA GT Team Championships, and a no-reserve hammer, this is one of the most significant lots at Mecum Indianapolis 2026.
1972 Lamborghini Miura P400 SV - The Only One in Bleu Tahiti
The 1972 Lamborghini Miura P400 SV in this collection is no ordinary Miura. Approximately 150 SVs were ever produced – the final and most refined evolution of the original Lamborghini supercar – and this particular example, Chassis 5066, is the only Miura SV in the world finished in Bleu Tahiti with a white leather interior.
The 3.9L V12 produces approximately 385 horsepower through a 5-speed manual gearbox, and the car shows a stunning 1,516 kilometers from new. Recent Miura SV auction results have set world records above $6 million, but the one-of-one color and essentially-new mileage of this car place it firmly in a category of its own.
1995 Ferrari F50 - 1,357 Kilometers on an F1-Derived V12
The 1995 Ferrari F50 is one of the most coveted collector cars on the planet. Ferrari built only 349 examples between 1995 and 1997 – intentionally one fewer than they believed they could sell – to celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary.
The F50’s 4.7L, naturally aspirated V12 is derived directly from Ferrari’s 1990 Formula One race car, the 641, and produces 520 horsepower at 8,500 rpm. It propels the car to 202 mph through a six-speed manual gearbox. Its carbon-fiber monocoque was Ferrari’s first fully carbon-fiber road car structure, bringing genuine F1 engineering to the street. The M Group’s F50 shows a remarkable 1,357 kilometers from new – placing it among the lowest-mileage examples ever offered at public auction – and it crosses the block at no reserve.
1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback - One of the First 50 Built
The American muscle anchor of the M Group Collection is the 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback, one of the first 50 production units built by Kar Kraft – the outside contractor Ford employed to squeeze the massive 375-horsepower “Shotgun” 429 cubic-inch engine into the Mustang’s engine bay as a NASCAR homologation special.
This example is finished in Candy Apple Red and completed a full concours restoration by acclaimed restorer Ed Meyer. It is backed by the correct Top Loader four-speed transmission, the most desirable drivetrain combination for the model. Early-production Boss 429 Mustangs with documented provenance and concours-level restorations are among the most sought-after pieces of American collector car history.
Estimated Sale Prices for the M Group Headliners
Based on recent comparable auction results and 2026 collector car market trends, here are realistic sale price estimates for the four headline M Group lots:
2005 Maserati MC12 – $5,000,000-$6,500,000
The MC12 market is accelerating rapidly. A comparable example set a new world record at Broad Arrow’s Monterey 2025 auction at $5,200,000 – a 37% jump over the prior record of $3,800,000. With no reserve and ultra-low mileage, this car could push well above that benchmark.
1972 Lamborghini Miura P400 SV – $6,500,000-$8,000,000+
In March 2026, a higher-mileage Miura SV sold for a world record $6,605,000 at Broad Arrow’s Amelia Concours Auction. The M Group car is the only Bleu Tahiti SV in existence with 1,516 km on the clock – a combination that arguably justifies a result well beyond the current record.
1995 Ferrari F50 – $7,500,000-$10,000,000
RM Sotheby’s Arizona 2026 sold an F50 from The Longhorn Collection for $8,805,000 – achieved with fewer than five bids. The M Group car’s 1,357 km odometer is among the lowest ever seen on a public F50 offering, supporting a result at or above that recent comp.
1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback – $400,000-$600,000
Hagerty values a concours-condition Boss 429 at approximately $580,000. Early-production status (one of the first 50 built), full concours restoration, and no-reserve terms position this car at the top of the market.
More Highlights from the M Group Collection
The M Group Collection extends well beyond the four headline lots. Additional standouts include:

- 1995 Bugatti EB110 Supersport – quad-turbocharged 3.5L V12, 674 kilometers, 1 of 30 produced
- 2020 McLaren Speedtail – 1 of 285 produced, just 29 miles on the clock
- 2006 Ford GT – 1 of 69 built in Speed Yellow, showing only 13 miles
- 1969 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Stingray – L71 435-hp Tri-power V8, 12 miles post-restoration
- 1965 Plymouth Belvedere A990 – one of 11 built, 520 miles, formerly displayed at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum
