The 49th edition of Rétromobile is being held in Paris right now, offering collector car fans a chance to see dozens of vintage cars. Several auction houses are on hand with displays promoting upcoming auctions as well as their private sale divisions. Additionally, the official date has been announced for the first edition of Rétromobile in the US – November 19-22, 2026 in New York, NY!

One of just three Zonda Tricolores produced is on display at RM Sotheby’s booth at Rétromobile, offering a chance for interested parties to see the car before bidding opens on February 24 on Sealed, RM Sotheby’s sealed bidding platform. This will be the first time a Tricolore will have been offered at an auction.

During the 1980s, McLaren dominated Formula 1 with its TAG-Porsche Turbo V6 engine, which powered cars driven by legends like Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, and Ayrton Senna. This 1.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6, developed by Porsche for McLaren.

Porsche built a special 911 as an experimental road car to test the TAG-Porsche F1 engine in a different setting. The 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 was chosen as the base vehicle, and Porsche engineers, along with McLaren’s technical team, worked to integrate the TAG Turbo V6 into the car’s rear-engine layout.

The 1988 Porsche 911 TAG Turbo on display by Broad Arrow is known as AP87 and is one of just 11 produced as a continuation of the one-off 911 produced by Porsche and McLaren. This car is powered by a modified TAG engine that powered Alain Prost’s McLaren at three different Grands Prix over the 1986 and 1987 seasons.

It’s available from Broad Arrow’s Private Sales department with an asking price of $2,750,000 and can be viewed at the Broad Arrow display during Rétromobile.

Launched in 1954, the Fiat 8V Series II was an enhanced version of Fiat’s uncommon and pioneering 8V sports car from 1952. Developed to compete with top European performance cars, the 8V stood out as Fiat’s only model equipped with a V8 engine—a compact 2.0-liter powerhouse generating up to 127 horsepower in the Series II iteration.

The Series II boasted several enhancements, including updated design by Carrozzeria Fiat and Carrozzeria Zagato, with some versions sporting lightweight aluminum bodies tailored for racing. It retained an advanced tubular steel frame chassis and independent suspension, offering superior handling capabilities.

Despite Fiat not officially competing with the 8V in factory races, private teams found success in Italian GT competitions, where the vehicle shone due to its nimbleness and impressive power-to-weight balance. Across all its variants, only 114 Fiat 8Vs were manufactured, making the Series II one of the rarest among them.

Estimate: $1,000,000 – $1,400,000
