Some highlights of the offering include:
This is a numbers-matching example including the chassis, body, and engine. It was restored in California and has a history of prominent owners before becoming a feature of the Academy of Art University Collection 15 years ago. It presents very nicely in Strawberry Red Metallic and includes a matching set of custom luggage.
This Marmon was once owned by J. Paul Getty – yes, that Getty – and benefits from a nut-and-bolt restoration that was completed in the 1990s. It’s won numerous awards including the CCCA Grand Classic First Place in Primary Division in 1999 and First Place in the Premier Division in 2002. It’s one of just 11 Convertible Sedans still in existence, so the rarity is more than just being associated with such a well-known previous owner.
This is one of less than 12 Minerva Type AL chassis known to survive today, out of about 50 that were ever built. It underwent a restoration in 1998 and took Best in Class at the 1999 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance with another strong showing 2018 that resulted in Second in Class.
Equipped with the optional in-dash radio and side mount covers, this is a rare example of the top of the line Packard 1108 series. It’s been carefully maintained since its restoration was completed and is notable for having been shown at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in both 1955 and 2008.
This is an absolute one-of-a-kind car, a one-off that belonged to LeBaron designer Ralph Roberts and is believed to be the final Series CL Custom Imperial Dual-Windshield Phaeton ever built. It sports numerous unique features such as full rear fender skirts, a painted radiator, and dual rear-mounted spares.
