Broad Arrow Auctions Break Records at Amelia Island

Amelia Island 2023 Results

Broad Arrow Auctions held their first auction at Amelia Island as the official auction of The Amelia, totaling $31 million in sales with a sell-through rate of 81%.

New record prices were set for four cars, including the most expensive car sold, a 2015 McLaren P1 that went for $2,425,000. The P1 was one of the three carbon-fiber-bodied McLarens known as the “carbon sisters.”

The second and third most expensive cars sold by Broad Arrow were both Porsches. The 1987 Porsche 959 Komfort went for $1,710,000 with a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT selling for $1,517,500.

New records were also set by a 1987 Mercedes-Benz AMG “Hammer” Sedan that briefly held the record for the most expensive 124-series sold at auction at $775,000, but about an hour later that record was broken by a 1991 AMG 6.0 Widebody Coupe at $885,000. A low-mileage example of the limited production 2002 Lotus Esprit V8 25th Anniversary Edition set a new record for a non-James Bond Esprit at $193,200. The hotly anticipated low-mileage 1997 Acura Integra Type R set a new record for that model at $151,200.
