RM Sotheby’s Dubai Breaks Record Prices

RM Sotheby's Dubai Sets Record Prices

RM Sotheby’s held their most recent auction earlier this month in partnership with the Mille Miglia Experience UAE at the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai. A strong sale lead to $27,914,235 changing hands with a sell-through rate of 71%.

New world record prices were set during RM Sotheby’s Dubai auction, the most notable of which is the 2014 Pagani Zonda LM Roadster that headlined the auction and sold for a remarkable $11,086,250. This one-off model was built to the exact specifications of the consignor, inspired by the Le Mans sport prototypes and features bare carbon-fiber bodywork along with a Tricolore exhaust and rear wing inspired by the Zonda Revolución.

The other Pagani that made its mark on the auction – and how often does anyone get to say “the other Pagani” – was the 2017 Pagani Huayra BC Coupé, one of 20 examples of the track-oriented Huayra BC that were built. More recently it was upgraded to the Pacchetto Tempesta specification and surprised very few with its own world record of $4,336,250.

RM Sotheby’s sold a 2022 Aston Martin Valkyrie Coupé, the second Valkyrie sold by the auction house in Dubai this year, for a very strong price of $2,648,750 – easy to understand considering Adrian Newey’s involvement in the design of this model and its mind-blowing 1,160 horsepower that sends it from 0 to 100 km/h in only 2.6 seconds.

RM Sotheby's Dubai - More Strong Sales

A one-owner 2017 Lamborghini Centenario LP770-4 Roadster that covered just 109 kilometers since it was new rounded out the top four lots at $2,030,000, while the Papaya Orange 2019 McLaren Senna LM – one of just 20 – brought a similarly strong price at $1,467,500. The last car sold for more than $1 million was the 2014 McLaren P1 that exceeded the high estimate with a final price of $1,186,250.

The 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series Coupé that RM Sotheby’s offered in Dubai went well above its high estimate selling for $820,625 and a 2002 Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG V12 that was owned by the Dubai royal family until 2023 set another world record selling for $398,750.
