Shelbys for Sale at Mecum Las Vegas 2023

5 Super Shelbys at Mecum Las Vegas 2023

Mecum will offer 1,000 vehicles for sale in Las Vegas next month, returning to the city they’ve held auctions in since 2014. The success that Shelbys have seen in the past year on the auction block makes it fitting to take a look at the Shelbys that will be offered by Mecum, especially since Shelby American is based in Las Vegas. Mecum will offer muscle cars, classic and modern, along with examples of the performance-oriented pickups the brand has come to be known for building.

The 2017 Ford Shelby GT350R is a high-performance version of the Ford Mustang equipped with track-ready modifications. It’s powered by a 5.2L V8 with a flat-plane crankshaft that sends 526 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. This example is finished in Lightning Blue and is equipped with Recaro seats with red accents in its interior. It rides on carbon fiber wheels and offers bidders a chance to get behind the wheel of a modern version of the GT350 with only 500 miles on its odometer.

Powered by a 5.4L Supercharged V8 that produces 550 horsepower, the 2012 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is a very capable machine. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds with a top speed in excess of 200 mph. The example set to be offered for sale by Mecum in Las Vegas is finished in Raven Black with a red and black interior and shows around 30,000 miles since new. While that obviously means the car has gotten some use, it’s not an over the top number of miles so it doesn’t give any cause for concern. Since this is one of about 1,000 examples built by Ford for 2012, this seems a very tempting opportunity for the modern muscle car enthusiast.

Shelby only built 402 examples of the 1968 Shelby GT500 Convertible which makes this a very rare and collectible example of the prime era of muscle cars. Powered by a 428 cubic inch V8 that’s paired with a Select-O-Matic automatic transmission, this is packed with desirable options. It features a power-operated convertible top, power steering, and power disc brakes – options that were equipped from the factory. The Elite Marti Report confirms the car presents as ordered and was sold new in Cedar Falls on January 17, 1968 for $4,834.28.

The Ford F150 Shelby Super Snake that will be offered by Mecum in Las Vegas next month is powered by a 5.0L supercharged V8 that produces 775 horsepower. The V8 is paired with an automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels and can go from 0 to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds. It’s only covered 1,321 miles since new and is finished in black paint with red stitching on its Shelby-branded seats. Around 600 examples were produced for 2021, making this an excellent, low mileage, rare example of the kind of truck that Shelby is now known for producing.

This 2023 Ford F150 Shelby Super Snake Sport appears to have covered around 355 miles since new. It’s powered by a supercharged 5.0L V8 that generates 775 horsepower and is paired with an automatic transmission. It features lots of Shelby styling such as the notable front grille and Shelby branding throughout, including a badge that shows this is the 190th example of the 600 produced. It’s finished in Silver with Le Mans-style stripes and includes a tonneau cover that matches the paintwork.
