Worldwide Auctioneers held a very successful sale in Auburn over the course of three days. Sales totaled $18.5 million and they achieved an 80% sell-through rate over the course of 275 vehicles crossing the block.
The most expensive car sold in Auburn was a 2021 Ford GT Carbon Series that went for a very strong price of $1.055 million – it was the only car they sold that broke seven-figures.
An extremely well-restored 1980 BMW M1 sold for $582,500, while a 1930 Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8A S Roadster sold for a strong $885,000.
As impressive as many of the cars were, equally impressive was the sale of a 1983 Gazelle Mercedes-Benz Replica Convertible as it was sold and gifted back to be sold again four times, raising money for the Spread Ari’s Light Foundation. The Spread Ari’s Light Foundation was started in 2018 to honor Arianna, a girl who passed away following an eight-year battle with cancer and the foundation supports families with children who are battling cancer.
A 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Fuelie was sold to support the J. Kruse Education Center while a quilt raised $11,000 for the Catholic Charities retired senior volunteer program.
Overall this was a successful sale for Worldwide Auctioneers and helped cement their position as the current auction company of record in Auburn.
